It\u2019s about confidence, curiosity, and the ability to navigate new situations with growing independence.<\/p>\n<p>To help families work out if their child is ready to take the next step on their learning journey, here are some of the signs we look for and how we support children to get there:<\/p>\n<h5>&nbsp;\u23f0\ufe0f 1. They\u2019ve got a rhythm to their day<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Little routines &#8211; like putting on their hat or packing away their toys &#8211; show us that your child is becoming more independent. In our Preschool and Kindergarten rooms, children are gently guided through structured parts of the day, helping them feel secure and in control. To help with this, some classrooms have flash cards on the wall that show everyone how each day will unfold and what to expect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>&nbsp;\ud83d\udc6b 2. They\u2019re building friendships<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Being able to play alongside others, share, and take turns are big milestones. At Busy Bees, we create plenty of opportunities for social learning, so children feel confident joining in and connecting with others in a variety of environments and situations. From quiet, in-classroom directed learning and play, to imaginative outdoor play, there are spaces and places to grow and develop friendships at their own speed and in their own style.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>&nbsp;\ud83d\ude4b 3. They\u2019re starting to speak up for themselves<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Asking questions, expressing their needs, or even just sharing their thoughts are all signs your child is building the communication skills they\u2019ll need at school. You may find that you have a Mr or Miss Chatterbox at home, but it can be scary to speak up and request help in strange or new places, so when children are doing this &#8211; even when unsure &#8211; it\u2019s a great sign their confidence is building. Our educators are looking to develop and support this every day through storytelling, conversation and play.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>&nbsp;\ud83d\udc63 4. They\u2019re giving things a go (and not giving up even when it gets hard!)<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>We see confidence not just when a child gets something right, but when they\u2019re willing to try, and try again. One of the hardest things we all experience in life is how to get back up after we\u2019ve had a setback, so we take time to ensure we celebrate effort and persistence just as much as outcomes to teach children that they can do hard things.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>&nbsp;\ud83d\udca1 5. They\u2019re curious<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Children who are interested in the world around them &#8211; asking \u201cwhy\u201d and exploring new ideas &#8211; are on the path to becoming lifelong learners!&nbsp;At Busy Bees, our environments are designed to spark and nurture curiosity ways that capture your child\u2019s imagination!
