children to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that foster respect, curiosity, and cultural understanding through activities, incursions and excursions taking place.<\/p><p>This year\u2019s NAIDOC Week theme, <em><strong>The Next Generation: Strength, Vision &amp; Legacy<\/strong><\/em>, is a powerful reminder of the role all children play in shaping the future. While we\u2019re keeping our recipe range small, these recipes are designed to bring people together through food and stories, while encouraging us to experience new flavours.<\/p><p><em>Don&#8217;t forget there are many wonderful indigenous chefs who can guide you when it comes to native ingredients, so if you enjoy these, be brave and try more native flavours and recipes!<\/em><\/p><p>For now, let us help you get started discovering native flavours with 3 NEW Bee Healthy recipes:\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.busybees.edu.au\/exploring-native-flavours-simple-recipes-to-celebrate-culture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warm Pumpkin &amp; Wattle Seed Scones<\/a><\/p><\/li><li><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.busybees.edu.au\/exploring-native-flavours-simple-recipes-to-celebrate-culture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bush Tucker Chicken Kebabs<\/a><\/p><\/li><li><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.busybees.edu.au\/exploring-native-flavours-simple-recipes-to-celebrate-culture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bush Tucker Damper<\/a><\/p><\/li><\/ul><h4>\ud83e\udde0 Learning through Culture &amp; Storytelling<\/h4><p>Children can enjoy Dreaming stories like \u201cTiddalik the Frog\u201d or \u201cHow the Birds Got Their Colours\u201d, join in yarning circles, and even connect with local Elders or Indigenous educators where possible.<\/p><h4>\u00a0<\/h4><h4>\ud83c\udfa8 Create With Heart<\/h4><p>From painting using natural materials to exploring the meanings behind the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, our creative play ideas help children express themselves while learning about culture in respectful and age-appropriate ways.<\/p><h4>\u00a0<\/h4><h4>\ud83c\udfb5 Move, Dance, and Listen<\/h4><p>We\u2019ve included rhythm and movement activities featuring music from proud Indigenous artists, because celebrating culture is also about joy, rhythm, and connection.<\/p><ul><li><em>The ABC is the official Broadcast and Education Partner of National NAIDOC Week. <\/em><em>NAIDOC Week resources for Early Childhood Education can be accessed via ABC Kids <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/abckids\/early-education\/naidoc-week-resources-for-early-childhood-\/102445834\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/em><\/li><\/ul><h4>\u00a0<\/h4><h4>\ud83c\udf3f Connecting with Country<\/h4><p>NAIDOC Week is a great time to talk about how our First Nations People care for Country. Outdoor nature walks, collage activities, and small acts of environmental care help children form a lifelong bond with the land around them.
